Growing up, Ms. Chami always loved school and felt it was not only a place to increase knowledge, but also a community. She began working with kids in high school and continued as a camp counselor, hoping to foster a sense of community and togetherness amongst the diverse children she worked with. Ms. Chami graduated with her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Government from Claremont McKenna College in Southern California, and moved back to her hometown of Las Vegas to pursue her passion of teaching and earn a Master's degree in Education at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Ms. Chami is excited to bring her knowledge from her past years of teaching diverse learners to Equitas 6! She hopes to make school an exciting, fun, and safe place for all of her kindergarten students.
